Come Over and Help Us!
In Acts 16:9, Paul has a vision in which a man from Macedonia appears requesting Paul to come over and help him.
We can see the state of Paul’s heart when looking at verse 10, “Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.”
Already, Paul’s heart is in Macedonia and it is apparent that Paul firmly believed that God was commanding him to go spread the gospel in Macedonia through this vision.
When looking back from our time, we can see that Paul’s decision in verse 10 marked the beginnings of the Good News spreading throughout Europe.
There is a short Korean proverb, which states, “Stagnant water is bound to corrupt.”
By only seeking my own interests and not using the blessings God has given me, I will be left to stand in front of God in a shameful manner. However, if I were to spread the Good News that I have received to others and obey Christ’s command, then the world will experience a spiritual awakening that will last throughout the lives of the following 2nd and 3rd generations.
My loving mission colleagues!
On July 24, 2010, our mission team will be heading towards Mongolia carrying the Gospel that holds the precious blood that Jesus spilled for our salvation. We are aware that the road we have decided to take will neither easy nor smooth.
However we have with us the same vision that had commanded Apostle Paul to go to Macedonia. We also have God’s promise to be constantly with us as we witness. (Matthew 28:20) As well, we go with the confidence of knowing that your earnest prayers for safety continue to safeguard us throughout our journey.
Just as in the past, Genghis Khan and his army invaded Europe, we, in the present, will forge our way through Europe from Mongolia armed not with swords but with the Gospel of Christ. We go with the hope that the small embers of the Gospel will rise to become a great fire and spread.
I invite everyone to come to the 2010 YALA Mongolia Mission Commission Service.
“This kind can come by nothing but prayer and fasting.” (Mark 9:29)
